What is the Data Sync?

The Data Sync allows the Mappedin CMS to pull data from your own CMS such as WordPress, Contentful, Episerver, etc.

What this means for you:

Chosen data entered in your CMS will be automatically synced into our system overnight. This means that data only needs to be managed in one place. The sync can be configured to sync different types of data such as tenants (locations), events, categories, etc. Further details can also be synced such as location hours of operation, social media links, etc.

What to keep in mind:

Certain fields in your CMS need to match exactly what is in the Mappedin CMS for everything to function properly. A common occurrence would be a tenant not attached to the map, this is often caused by an incorrect Polygon ID in the data that was synced into the Mappedin CMS. While you can change this in the Mappedin CMS any change will be overwritten by the synced data that evening.

For more technical information about what types of data can be synced please read our developer guide here.
