Applying Textures to Polygons
Updated over a week ago

The Texture tab, found in the Polygon Properties, allows you to overlay any .JPG, .PNG, or .SVG image on the top and / or side surfaces of a polygon.

How to Apply a Texture

  • Navigate to the Perspectives toolbar, found on the bottom of the CMS.

  • Select the correct perspective and click on the pencil icon, in the top right.

  • From the drop-down, select 3D Renderer.

  • In the 3D Renderer, select the polygon you wish to add a texture to.

  • In Polygon Properties, select the Front Face Texture menu.

  • Once complete generate the Perspective & Select Save Map from the File Menu or press (Ctrl + S).

(NOTE: depending on the size of the texture image used and polygon face, you may not see the texture appear on the surface immediately).

Front Face vs. Side Face Textures

With the polygon selected, click on Upload under the Front Face Image field.

  • To adjust the scale of the texture, change the values in the U and V fields.

  • To adjust the direction of the texture, change the values in the X and Y fields.

  • Once satisfied with the look of the texture and the map, Generate and Save.

  • With the polygon selected, by default textures placed on the Front Face will be duplicated on the Side Face. If you would like to use a different texture, un-check the box marked Use Front Face Image and click on Upload under the Side Face Image field.
