What is a Canvas Bound?

A Canvas Bound is a rectangle placed on a polygon to limit where text can be displayed on it. These are only required if the venue is using flat labels and not when using floating labels. If a tenant is attached to a polygon its name will appear on top of the polygon within the Canvas Bound.

Creating Canvas Bounds

  1. Click in to the Mapping Tab.

  2. Select the Canvas Bounds Tool (T).

  3. Select a specific polygon or press CTRL + A to select every polygon on a given layer.

  4. On the right of the screen a window will appear. Click Generate.

  5. Edit the size, placement and rotation of the Canvas Bound as needed.

  6. Ensure the green point is at the (or one of the) entrances to the polygon.
